Ukrainian Danker Dmitry Krivenko nicknamed "Smoove" sensationally won Slamdunk contest, held as part of the holiday college basketball "VTB Arena Open" on the Red Square, surpassing most Juz Fly.


- Dmitry, how unexpected was the invitation to Slamdunk contest "VTB Arena Open"?

- My trip was quite spontaneous. I have, as far as I know, they call for the replacement one known Danker. The day before the competition itself I was at a birthday party at a friend in Kiev and he took off contest at 7 am on the day of the event. At first I did not expect it because I knew what the opponents will be there.

- And how it was possible to leave behind most Juz Fly?

- Insanely happy that I managed to win Justin. Even jump him at a contest is nice, but to win - it is generally something beyond reality. And, of course, a better place than Red Square, it was hard to find for such an event!

Development of college basketball, amateur and school - it's a huge deal for the whole game! I am glad that now there are people and organizations that are engaged in earnest.

- What a dunk in your performance finally tip the scales in your direction?

- Dunk from the legs with a pass from behind - he was the most difficult. And he was also the best received by the audience, the jury, me and the other players. I call this dunk "game over" - he did his job ...

- Why is "game over"?

- Because this combination is insanely complicated, often it is she brings me the victory, and the last - after I had the biggest wave of emotion.

- What emotions were when he received the winning ticket from President Andrew MSBL Peregudova?

- In fact, at that moment I did not experience anything. Stood as if I win these competitions every day (laughs). I often it happens. I realize what happened to me, only a couple of days, when reviewing photos and videos. Of course, then it is understand that this is probably the most important victory for me at the moment!

- In the championship MSBL played by two teams from Ukraine. Not only that, Kharkov "Polytech" was able to get through to the "Final Four" in Tallinn.

- For children from Kharkov Polytechnic very happy, although, of course, like to see in the next year, they took first place. In the first year at college I trained myself to the guys on this team, and played for the student team, so that almost all know personally.

I wish everyone to enjoy basketball, as I do. I myself play, I have always participated in the dunk contests, and even doing freestyle. For me, basketball - this is important in life, basic and my favorite pastime. And I get great pleasure from participating in activities such as holiday college basketball on Red Square. Students who play in the MSBL, there is an incredibly cool feature to show and prove itself. Try your hand and try to get into the adult professional basketball! - What other team from the Ukraine, in your opinion, could participate in our league?

- I think that in the MSBL presented objectively two strongest Ukrainian university, though the subtleties are not too familiar with the situation in the student basketball in our country, because he is no longer a student. But when he studied in Kiev, we had a pretty strong student team. I hope that the guys out there still will be able to show themselves.

- Recently in social networks MSBL competition was launched at stake in which 15 T-shirts, which, by the way, were all members Slamdunk contest "VTB Arena Open" ...

- Social networks now occupy almost all the attention of young people. I myself such, although I understand that the world is a lot more interesting things than just sitting in front of the monitor. And in the competition, I'm sure everyone must participate! T-Shirts really cool. If I had not given them for the fact that I have participated in the contest, then I would have taken part in this competition. For them really worth fighting for!
