Chelios, Niedermayer and Shenahen selected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. NHL


In the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto were selected three players - Chris Chelios, Scott Niedermayer and Brendan Shenahen. Note that the candidates had to obtain at least three-fourths majority vote of 18 experts from the special committee of the Hall of Fame. Note that among the applicants were called Russians Alexander Mogilny and Sergei Makarov.
Niedermayer during his career, four times won the Stanley Cup, two - the Olympic Games, the youth and the adult world championships. He advocated a "New Jersey" and "Anaheim", won the "Norris Trophy" and "Conn Smythe Trophy" and hit three times in the first Team of the season and took part in the 5-Star Game. Total legendary defender played in the 1263 NHL matches and scored 740 (172 568) points. Chelios during his career played for the "Montreal", "Chicago", "Detroit" and "Atlanta." Over 26 seasons in the NHL great defender won three Stanley Cup. In all, he spent the 1651 match and scored 948 (185 + 763) points. Chelios also became the owner of "Norris Trophy" and the silver medalist in 2002, and 9 times participated in the Star Game. Shenahen during his career played for the "New Jersey", "St. Louis", "Hartford", "Detroit", "Rangers", held in 1524 and won the match in 1354 (656 698) points. He took part in the 8-Star Game, and is the 2002 Olympic champion and world champion in the 1994.
